Copaiba (co-pie-EE-bah) contains the highest levels of Beta-Caryophyllene of any known essential oil. Beta-Caryophyllene is a cannabinoid that binds to the body’s CB2 cannabinoid receptors, while the body’s CB1 receptors are unaffected. The “high” that is typically associated with marijuanna use is due to THC, and THC’s impact on the CB1 receptors.

Copaiba (and other essential oils containing beta-caryophyllene) is NOT CBD oil. There is NO CBD and there is no THC! It is not marijuana; will NOT make you high, and will NOT trigger a positive drug test!

As of now, two different sub-types of cannabinoid receptors have been identified: CB1 and CB2. Research suggests that activation of the bodies CB2 receptors support healthy immune system function, nervous system function, and helps sooth and relax the body.

What does all this mean? Basically, Copaiba essential oil and its high levels of beta-caryophyllene can support the body’s response to irritation and injury that we can all get from time to time, especially when we over exert ourselves. In our experience it is very calming to the mind and supportive of anxiety. When ingested, it is very soothing to the throat as well as the digestive tract - without any of the psychoactive side effects that typically accompany marijuanna use.
